MO506:
Deep Level Healing (4 units)
DESCRIPTION:
This course is designed to teach the theory and practice of the
form of lay counseling called “prayer ministry” or “deep level healing,”
including dealing with demonization when that occurs. The purposes of this course are 1) to introduce students to the
concepts and techniques of this form of ministry and 2) to motivate students to
begin to minister such healing to others in the love and power of the Holy
Spirit. There will be a special focus on bringing spiritual, emotional, and
physical freedom to westerners and non-westerners ministering cross-culturally.
Dr. Kraft may be assisted in teaching this course by co-faculty and/or teaching
assistants.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
Students will explore the foundational concepts and
principles of deep-level healing that will result in an increased awareness of inner
healing and a more holistic viewpoint to lead them toward the development of
tools to learn inner healing and to integrate it into their ministries, as well
as a greater understanding of a personal relationship with Christ.
COURSE FORMAT:
The class will meet for three hours, one evening per week over the
ten week quarter. Class sessions will follow a seminar format, consisting of
lecture and discussion. In addition to the regular class sessions, an
instructor and/or teaching assistants and/or other enrolled students will be
available for optional prayer ministry sessions, during which deep level
healing counseling will be demonstrated, and students may have the opportunity
to participate. Attendance at the optional prayer ministry sessions is limited
to currently enrolled registrants. Prior to attending the prayer ministry
session(s) all attendees are required to sign an Informed Consent and Release,
after viewing a specific video in class. In addition, any attendee desiring to
participate as a subject of the lay counseling must complete a Personal History
Questionnaire and sign a Privacy and Confidentiality Waiver.
