Sara Williams Graduates From Fuller to Serve Young Adults

Sara Williams, from Mount Hermon, Calif., graduated from Fuller Seminary on June 14 with her M.Div., after focusing much of her study in the areas of discipleship, pastoral care, and counseling. She is currently interviewing at churches for young adult/college pastor positions.

“I have worked as a college director the past three years and continue to work with men and women in that stage of life,” Williams says. “My deep passion is to care for, disciple, and mentor the current young adult generation so that they might understand how they are gifted and how they can use their life to help others know Jesus.”

Williams says she enrolled at Fuller because so many of her own spiritual mentors were graduates of Fuller.

“When I decided to pursue theological education after college, I wanted an institution that not only had a deep commitment to the Bible and its relevance for today, but pursued that study with academic rigor and intellectual integrity. I also wanted a seminary that would fully affirm my call to ministry as a female,” Williams says.

Fuller provided Williams with “volumes” of biblical knowledge, as well as the skills to interpret Scripture, communicate the gospel clearly, and to care for others.

”But even more practically Fuller has helped me understand how to make that knowledge practical and real in the lives of the people I am ministering to,” she says.

Williams is engaged to be married to Jeremy Bentley on Sept. 14, 2003.
