What are the basic requirements to access Fuller Library electronic resources remotely?

To authenticate our remote users, Fuller Library uses a proxy server called EZProxy (pronounced "Easy Proxy"). Here are the basic requirements to connect to our off-campus resources:

  1. A computer with access to the Internet.
  2. An Internet Browser.  Please make sure that JavaScript is enabled and your browser is set to accept cookies.
  3. A valid Portico username and password (for more information visit: http://porticohelp.fuller.edu).

How do I access library databases from off-campus?

Links to our off-campus databases are conveniently located through our website. Look for the Databases link and choose the database you want to search. You should see a "Remote access login" where you can enter your username and password.

Please follow the password recovery functions in Portico. http://portico.fuller.edu/

Why do I get a "Page can not be displayed” or "Page not found" error?

If you are not able to get to our login screen it might be because your firewall settings are set too high and they block access to the EZProxy server.

  1. Access to port 2048 is required to connect to the databases from off campus.

  2. It is also a common practice for businesses (in case you connect from your workplace) to restrict certain access ports in the workplace. Please contact your ISP or network administrator to check on possible restrictions.

I got a Cookie Error. What do I do?

If your browser reports an error receiving a "cookie" it may be currently set to disallow cookies.  EZProxy requires that your browser is set to ENABLE COOKIES.
